The good people at Justmytype.org have decided to release 7 free vector illustration fonts for use as we see fit. Just—My—Type™ is a side project of designer Jakob Nylund / Formconspiracy. All typefaces are free to download and free to use without any restrictions. Most of them are only available in Illustrator and only in capital letters A-Z but they are free so stop complaining.

Jean-Yves Lemoigne’s photography is beautiful, surreal and sometimes downright cooky, but the latest addition to his portfolio is PIXXXEL for the 3rd issue of Amusement Magazine. Ever wonder how many different pubs you went to last year, how many times you worked out, your average speed, how many tracks you played on i-tunes? No me neither. But one man did and this is the result is the “Feltron Annual Report“. A full and comprehensive report on one mans life. Ultimately useless but quite fun, and if I spent as much time designing as he does collecting pointless fact I might be able to make something half as good looking as this.

A Bathing Ape book signing at Dover Street Market

15 years ago Nigo (A Bathing Ape) opened a tiny shop in Harajuku Tokyo called NOWHERE. During that first year was when Nigo launched the now world famous A Bathing Ape. NOWHERE will now be opening its doors again for a limited time in Londons Dover Street Market from 17th January 2009 selling A Bathing Ape products and exclusive products made by Nigo and Jun Takahashi (Undercover and co-founder of NOWHERE) together under the NOWHERE name. NIGO will be signing books down at NOWHERE in DSM on Friday 16th from 7pm, but be sharp because as in true NIGO fashion there are only 100 books to go round..

Audi Q5 Advert

I had to make a quick post about the new Audi Q5 advert, the advert has a doodled man on a cardboard box, which he then moulds and shapes into the Audi Q5 .
Commissioned by BBH and created by production company Passion Pictures who teamed up with 1st Avenue Machine, the quirky advert has a brilliant tune that goes with it (Car Song by Woody Gurthie), it is an early offering for one of the best adverts of 2009, glad to see that people are putting out such great work so early on in the year, especially feel good ones like this one…
